ApplicationConnect Provides Updates On Job Application Status

It’s a scenario the job seeker knows all too well – you send out application after application, only to receive silence back.

It’s certainly a frustrating scenario, but most employers don’t have the time to send each individual job seeker an update once the position has been filled. Candidates can become frustrated with organizations when they don’t hear back, and overall the situation can be a blow to company image.

A new widget is seeking to alleviate these frustrations. StartWire, an organization that provides job seekers with updates on their resume and application status, recently launched ApplicationConnect, a free widget employers can embed on their company career webpages or Facebook recruiting pages.

The widget provides timely job status updates via email and text messages to job candidates. HR managers and potential hires can use a customized user interface to see important application dates, deadlines, and status updates. It also allows job applicants to give feedback about their own personal recruiting experience with the company, a helpful tool for recruiters and HR managers looking to gain insight and improve their process.

And the widget isn’t difficult to implement, either. It conveniently works with each major applicant tracking system (ATS), so recruiters need only update a candidates’ status in their current ATS, and the widget will handle the rest.

Many job seekers become disgruntled with entire companies because of their negative experiences trying to obtain a job there. The ApplicationConnect widget offers an excellent way for recruiters to provide open and honest communication with potential hires while also protecting company brand.

Would you consider using a widget like ApplicationConnect for job seekers? How do you think it could help company reputation?
