BuzzFeed Supposedly Raising $200M Round

VentureBeat reported that BuzzFeed may be raising a $200 million round of funding. It’s speculated that existing investors NEA, Lerer Ventures, RRE Ventures, Hearst Ventures, and SV Angel may participate in the round. According to VentureBeat‘s source, $200 million isn’t an exact amount, but rather a median figure. To date, the rapidly expanding producer of long-form journalism, list posts, and Millennial fodder has raised a total of $46.3 million.
