Manage Your Career or Find That New Employee at CareerScribe

Oct 31, 2011

CareerScribe

Still searching for that perfect job?  One of the showcased startups at our Tech Cocktail Bloomington event might just be able to help you out.  CareerScribe is a self-described “personal, life-long, career support system.”   The platform allows to you organize, develop, market, brand and manage your job search – and career.

If you really want to stand out from all the other equally qualified candidates, I am pretty sure the online video and resume you create at CareerScribe will help, especially since it’s so easy to share one or both via social media.

It’s important to point out that they are not a job site like Monster or a social network like LinkedIn.  Founder Jeff Bockelman really thought about this startup; he spent more than a decade as an executive recruiter, so he was very familiar with the gaps left between your electronic resume, job sites, legacy enterprise applications, and social networking.

CareerScribe isn’t just for individuals, though.  Hiring managers, recruiters, and those in HR can use it to assess and manage talent and encourage employees to take meaningful ownership of their career development.

Give it a try and let us know what you think – is it better than LinkedIn?  Leave a comment below.
