TechCrunch reported yesterday that DC-based founder matchmaking startup CoFoundersLab has acquired one of their competitors, stealth New York-based Wonpy.

As part of the deal, Wonpy co-founder Erick Brimen will come over to CoFoundersLab as COO & VP of Finance. Wonpy’s other co-founder Luis Pallares will not be making the jump to CoFoundersLab.

CoFounderLab has definitely been seeing considerable growth as of late.  They now have over 25,000 members.

This is also not the first time they’ve acquired their competitors.  In 2012, they acquired FounderMatchup and Techcofounders.

As part of February’s Tech Cocktail Week, CoFoundersLab will be hosting a CoFoundersLab Pop-Up in downtown Las Vegas at Work In Progress on February 14th.
