Social entrepreneurs always encounter an uphill battle when tackling the issue of funding, especially when it comes to start up campaigns. StartSomeGood looks to solve this problem by connecting social entrepreneurs with the financial and intellectual capital they need to help their campaign grow and help achieve its goal. Anyone can find campaigns and social innovations on their site and make contributions to the ones that they want through their crowd-funding platform. Social entrepreneurs can now have an entire network of supporters for their startup campaign simply by posting it on StartSomeGood.

StartSomeGood allows all forms of social good initiatives, nonprofit and for-profit, one-off and ongoing, local and international, to start side-by-side and raise support on the basis of their innovation and potential impact, rather than tax status. All campaigns posted to the site have both a total fundraising goal and a “tipping point” goal, which is the amount needed to start doing good. Campaigns are allowed to run for 7-90 days but must reach the tipping point before the deadline or none of the pledges are run and no money is exchanged.
