Meet the 10 Chicago Startups in Techstars Class of 2016

Accelerators are designed to foster growth in early stage companies. They provide founders and employees with funding, coworking spaces, and, perhaps most importantly, sage advice. At Techstars, the startups that come out of their program are primed and ready to take on the world. And their Demo Day in Chicago has shown that this model is not going to change any time soon.

I had the pleasure of attending the exciting event at the House of Blues in downtown Chicago yesterday afternoon. While the spreads were plentiful and the alcohol enjoyable, the most impressive asset on display was the incredibly prepared and refreshingly unique startups that pitched their companies to investors and influencers alike. Not only were they cock full of qualified employees and founders that can absolutely get the job done, they were also pitching great ideas that any respectable entrepreneur would get excited about.
