Get Tickets to Your Favorite Chicago Teams on Ticket Beagles

Cubs, Bulls, White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks – what’s your favorite sports team in Chicago?

I’m not a big sports follower or a Chicagoan, but our CEO Frank Gruber is a diehard Cubs fanatic from Illinois. After being on the waitlist for years, he finally got seasons tickets in 2014 – so naturally, he flew from the Tech Cocktail headquarters in Vegas back to Chicago to pick them up. I guess this sports stuff is intense.

Chicago is one of the greatest sports cities and every fan knows that it can be a lot of work. Searching for the best deal, the best seat, the best spot can be tedious and time consuming,” says Dane Drotts, cofounder and CEO of web and mobile development shop GeneXus.

So Drotts and part of his team set out to solve that problem – to create an app with the nose of a beagle, fetching you the exact tickets you wanted. Ticket Beagles was born.

Ticket Beagles

Ticket Beagles is an iOS app that lets you buy, sell, and request tickets, with over 15,000 tickets available and no fees. You can keep track of your history of ticket exchanges and keep an eye on those awesome match-ups you might like to attend.

Ticket Beagles’s huge database is partly thanks to their partnership with PrimeTime Tickets. As the story goes, Drott’s partner Mark Thomann lives in Wrigley and walked into PrimeTime’s storefront to pitch the idea. They hope to add other partners like Gold Coast Tickets soon.

So, are you rooting for the Beagles?

GeneXus is one of our partners in Chicago – we thank them for their support!
