Instagrille: Sync Instagram Activity to Your PC

Instagrille

Checking Instagram can be is a huge time suck for most of us. But a desktop app is making it even easier for you to stay tuned to your fellow mobile photographers’ activity – with a few new features.

Instagrille is a desktop application that syncs activity from your Instagram account to your PC. The visually pleasing, browser-sized grid format displays the latest photos from your feed, as well as those that are most popular, part of a keyword search, and geographically near you – a feature that’s not even available on the original app.

If you ask me, this app gives brands a great opportunity to find more ways to engage on Instagram, a network well known for having a pretty strict no-promo policy. Posting photos on your phone is necessary and easy, but tracking activity to interact with an audience is more savvy and better done with Instagrille.

For instance, local brick-and-mortar businesses or neighborhood organizations can take advantage of the Nearby feature to find activity from users who are part of their demographic. They can share those users’ posts and give credit on Facebook or Twitter, or just comment on the photos, to bring attention to their brand account and encourage interaction.

Another cool new feature is the ability to download any photo on the network. If your business runs a hashtag campaign and encourages users to share relevant photos, you can easily download the files and create a collage to use as a Twitter background or Facebook cover photo, giving your followers some ownership in the design for your brand.

Instagrille is one of 150 apps in the Pokki network, who says their Instagram client is coming soon to Mac users.
