Lean Startup Machine is coming to Silicon Valley – and we have two tickets to give away and a 10% discount for our readers! 

Lean Startup Machine is a for-profit social enterprise with the mission of advancing the science of entrepreneurship to better utilize human potential. Based upon the Lean Startup metholody created by author Eric Ries, Lean Startup Machine Silicon Valley will be an intensive three-day business and product development workshop in which attendees will hear from and be mentored by influential entrepreneurs.

Speakers and mentors include Chris McCann of StartupDigest, Cheryl Yeoh of Reclip.It, David Bland of BigVisible, Daniel Brusilovsky of TeenInTech Labs, and many more yet to be announced.

To date, Lean Startup Machine has run 35 workshops in 20 cities across 5 continents.  The workshop kicks off with a series of product pitches that helps attendees organize into teams. Each team then develops its problem hypothesis, solution hypothesis, and a series of assumptions that are core to the success of the business model.

After defining the problem, solution, and core assumptions, each team creates an minimum viable product, or MVP.  The goal of the MVP test is to “get out of the building,” speak with real customers and collect cash or non-cash currency to serve as validation or invalidation of the riskiest assumption. The event culminates with each team pitching its new solutions and explaining its experience using this process. In this competition, the winning team is not selected based on who has the best idea, but instead on which team honors the process and gains the most insights through its pivots.

Lean Startup Machine Silicon Valley will be held at Citrix’s Startup Accelerator in Santa Clara, CA beginning on Friday, September 7 at 6pm and ending on Sunday, September 9 at 8pm.
