The Washington Business Journal today reported that LivingSocial has been developing a customer relationship management tool (CRM) behind the scenes. Specifically, this tool will let businesses who offer deals through LivingSocial stay connected with the customers who purchase them.
It’s important to highlight this otherwise hidden aspect of LivingSocial because a CRM will help with customer retention while also picking up some extra slack in the customer service and sales departments after last year’s layoffs. Bluntly speaking, it’s a smart move and companies who stick it out in the daily deals industry, one that has been marred by negativity, deserve to celebrate any and all good news that comes there way.
