Following their involvement with the first ever White House Maker Faire, Local Motors has announced a newly forged marketing partnership with TechShop. As part of an ongoing celebration of a Nation of Makers, this new collaboration will bring together two like-minded communities of makers while empowering the development of new products via online and physical innovation spaces.
“Over the last 5 years, as we have brought several vehicle programs to market across the world, we have recognized an increasing number of vehicular innovations coming from TechShop and its members,” says Jay Rogers, CEO of Local Motors. “This partnership is meant to make it easy for innovators to take their products all the way to market.”
TechShop members will get access to both the Local Motors and FirstBuild Explore platforms. And members who contribute ideas or to projects that are commercialized, or who submit winning ideas to Local Motors or FirstBuild challenges, will be compensated for their efforts.
