Rock The Vote: Flights. Camera. Action. Voting Now Open!

Aug 29, 2012

Every startup could use their own big break; today you have the chance to help make that happen.

American Airlines’ Flights. Camera. Action. promotion has opened up voting to the public, enabling you to play a role in helping one lucky company win up to 80 round trip flights.

Back in July, businesses were asked to submit a 60-second video explaining how the connections they make during travel benefit their businesses.  As of yesterday, the field has been narrowed to 27; nine from each of the following categories: startups, established, and non-profits.  Now it’s up to you to decide who moves on.  The top three videos from each category, nine companies in total, will receive an additional 20,000 Business ExtrAA points redeemable for 10 roundtrip tickets on AA and will make it onto the next round of the contest, where an expert panel will select the top video from each category.

Below is one of our favorite submissions, from 99 Tigers:

All jokes aside, travel plays a crucial role for the team at 99 Tigers, according to Molly Christie Benson, the company’s Executive Producer:

“We get requests from all over the country, but sometimes it’s tricky to take on the jobs because we’re all so spread out.  Some of us are In New York, some in Los Angeles, and some in Dallas.  If we had these flights it would make it so much easier for us to work with each other and new clients in order to grow the 99 Tigers brand.”

Check out the rest of the startup pool here.  You can vote on the established companies and non-profits here as well.

Go make someone’s day!
