Shane Green from Personal: “It’s All About the People”

Mar 19, 2012

Shane Green

Shane Green wants you to have control over your data – not the data that apps or social networks are quietly monitoring, but the bits of messy, sticky-noted data you’re constantly looking up.

Green is the CEO of Personal, which lets you create shareable “gems” of data like Work Directions, Favorite Recipes, or Passports. He’s also a serial entrepreneur who works with a variety of nonprofits (technology and otherwise).

Green shared a few gems with us at our SXSW #StartupLife Celebration last week. He talks about giving power to the people, finding the right team, and bootstrapping. Watch the video featuring Shane Green of Personal.

You can find more of this year’s coverage of the #StartupLife at SXSW here.
