Ever wondered what some of your favorite tech all-stars have for dinner, supper, or second dinner? Vegetarian chicken fingers? Gluten-full mac and cheese with prosciutto? Pizza burger tacos? Well, imagine no further! Cookbook Create has compiled over 100 recipes from the likes of Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh, BuzzFeed’s Jonah Peretti, and other past SXSW Interactive speakers in The Official SXSW 2014 Interactive Cookbook.

“[I’ve] been attending the SXSW Interactive Festival since 2009, [so] I have been able to witness how creative and diverse the community is,” said Anna Curran, the founder and CEO of Cookbook Create. “We thought it would be great fun to get to hear what past speakers make at home and get a peek into their personal style beyond the public sphere.”

sxswmacncheeseEvery year, the SXSW Interactive Festival brings together leaders and enthusiasts from the realms of all things tech, digital, and media. Within the tech startup space, SXSWi continues to be a launching pad for great innovations – Twitter and Foursquare each had their start at the festival. The Official SXSW 2014 Interactive Cookbook offers a new perspective on the creative minds of our modern society’s best innovators. It contains all kinds of recipes – from Cheezburger Inc. CEO Ben Huh’s “Cheezburger Burger” (I mean, obviously) to MIT Media Lab director Joi Ito’s “Blacklight Cocktails.”

When asked about her favorite recipe from the cookbook, Curran responded:

“Oh – tough (and unfair) question! Honestly, all of the recipes in the book are very special and each is spectacular for a different occasion. So if you asked, ‘What’s your favorite comfort food recipe in the book?’ I’d say it [is] a toss-up among [Foursquare CEO] Dennis Crowley’s Mom’s Mac and Cheese, [BlogHer CEO] Lisa Stone’s Sweet Potato Pie, and [renowned American media scholar] Henry Jenkins’s family Cornbread recipe.”

The Official SXSW 2014 Interactive Cookbook showcases what users can do with Cookbook Create’s community cookbook format. Cookbook Create is a site that allows you to make your own printed cookbook with all your favorite recipes. You can use your own collected recipes and even add recipes that people have shared with the Cookbook Create community. Your cookbook can then be printed, featuring your desired design customizations.
