Online advertising is such a crapshoot. If you don’t do it right, you end wasting a lot of time and money. Boulder-based startup Trada crowdsources online advertising by harnessing the expertise of creatives and those in advertising to provide you with an optimized ad/image combination. Until today, it was only available for Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Today, they are launching the service for Facebook.
Trada hopes to solve the problem of “ad fatigue” on Facebook. Because you end up seeing the same ads over and over, you eventually become “blind” to them. By using an expert crowd to create hundreds of ads, Trada is betting that a constant fresh supply of ads will catch the eye of viewers.
Don’t let the term “crowdsourced design” throw you off. This is not spec work in the one-winner-takes-all model. Trada’s creative marketplace is different because it’s performance based. Designers generate hundreds of relevant ad images for an advertiser and get paid for every click or conversion generated by the ad.
If you have tried and failed at online advertising, try out Trada and let us know what you think with a comment left below.
