In two years, says Trey Bowles, Dallas will be the fastest-growing ecosystem in the country.
“What we’re really seeing is this explosion of entrepreneurial activity,” he says.
Bowles is the cofounder and CEO of The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, a coworking space and incubator where startups can work, collaborate, and learn. The incubator includes mentorship from organizations like the Kauffman Foundation, Microsoft, and the Mercury Fund.
Founded in 2013, the DEC’s goal is to help local entrepreneurs build their businesses and raise the profile of Dallas as an innovation hub. Dallas’s startup scene has been growing for quite a while, and the DEC hopes to accelerate that growth.
