The 10 Most Popular WordPress Themes

Today, CodeGuard released its “State of the Web” infographic for Q1 2015, showing trends in the content and technology used on today’s websites.

WordPress is the web’s most popular content management system, used on over 78% of websites with a CMS. The median WordPress blog has 9 posts, 20 pages, and 8 comments. It also has 15 plugins installed, the most popular of which are Akismet, WordPress SEO, and Contact Form.

CodeGuard also reported on the most popular (active) WordPress themes; they are:

CodeGuard’s “State of the Web” also found that almost half of websites are not mobile ready (according to Google Webmaster tools), which is problematic because Google’s search algorithm is now favoring mobile-friendly sites. Google also takes into account page load time, and the median page on the web loads in 1.7 seconds. Check out these and other findings below:
