3D Print Your Own Jewelry With Trove

3D printing is one of the most exciting technologies in recent years. The concept behind it is truly brilliant: if you can imagine it, you can make it, regardless of your location, and the applications are virtually endless: organs to save lives, pieces for the automotive industry, rockets for aerospace use, prosthetics, and even improvement of the senses are just some of the amazing possibilities brought by this technology.

Yet another interesting application of 3D printing is being explored by Trove, which allows people to build their own jewelry with this technology. No two people are the same, so their taste for jewelry can also differ. Even though it is possible to currently customize traditional jewelry, that is a somewhat limited process, as customers have some boundaries in terms of customization.

With this in mind, Trove was created – a platform that lets users 3D print their own custom jewelry in a variety of metals, like brass, copper and even precious metals like 14K gold and sterling silver. Trove can be used in different ways, from building pieces from scratch, to navigating through (and customizing) other preexisting designs.

Trove offers a constantly updated selection of jewelry, with those preexisting designs. It is also possible to follow other Trove users, allowing to be up to date on what the best jewelry makers have been creating. Last but not least, users can obviously start their creations from total scratch and still get them printed. Before sending the finalized product, Trevo sends users a free try-on model, so that users try them and check if they fit. Then, the final product is then sent to the buyer.

3D printers are still a little bit expensive, and surely not everyone has the ability to buy one. Starting at $50, Trove's service is a great option for people who are willing to design and 3D print their creations, but not wanting to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars in a 3D printer.
