4 Ways To Watch ‘The Interview’ Online Now

After weeks of media attention in connection with the massive hacking attack, today Sony decided to release their film, ‘The Interview‘, online. The New York Post reported earlier this week that the film was to be released on Crackle, a Sony owned site – but that, along with a number of other rumors, has not yet materialized. Instead Sony worked with Google and Microsoft to release the film to online audiences just in time for Christmas. As explained in a blog post on the official Google Blog:

“…Sony and Google agreed that we could not sit on the sidelines and allow a handful of people to determine the limits of free speech in another country (however silly the content might be).”

Here are the four places you can watch ‘The Interview’ online:

1.) YouTube Movies
2.) Google Play
3.) XBOX Video
4.) SeeTheInterview.com (powered by Sony owned Kernel)

Each option allows you to rent the film for $5.99 and watch it for the next 48 hours (though there was a bug identified with Kernel that allowed some users to download the film for free to start). If you do decide to rent the movie, you can watch the film for about a tenth of what it would cost to take a family of five to see it in the theater.  Thank you, Sony, and Merry Christmas.
