410 Labs Shortmail Raises $750,000 In Funding

410 Labs the makers of Shortmail which we covered when they first launched and then again more recently as they opened the doors to the public, has just announced that they have raised funding. According to the announcement, the $750,000 Series A funding includes support from True Ventures, 500 Startups, Fortify Ventures and The Maryland Venture Fund. Shortmail is the company’s second product, following Replyz, which we previously covered when they showcased at one of our DC mixer events last fall.

410 Labs also received support from a stellar group of entrepreneurs including: Tim O’Shaughnessy, CEO and Co-founder, LivingSocial, Abdur Chowdhury, Chief Scientist, Twitter; Co-founder, Summize, Jeff Ganek, Founder and former CEO, Neustar, Mark Walsh, CEO and Co-founder, Genius Rocket, Tom Loveland, CEO and Founder, Mind Over Machines, Greg Cangialosi, CEO and Founder, Blue Sky Factory (which sold today to WhatCounts) and Paul Silber, CEO, In Vitro Technologies.

The Series A funding will go toward developing tools that improve communication and provide easier access to information.
