With over 425 tickets sold, TECH cocktail Chicago 11 is lining up to be another super event. We cannot believe it is our 11th event in Chicago, it seems like just yesterday we were hosting our first event at State in Lincoln Park. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun.
We are excited to have 10 solid start-ups demoing at the event which include:
BringIt allows gamers from across the world to compete in video games for cash and prizes.
iLime a solution for integrating Apple iPhone push notification service and in app purchases into your iPhone applications.
indieCollision a platform that empowers music fans to discover new music from independent & unsigned artists.
Hot Tweeters – a Twitter application that uses profile photos to compete with other members in a “hot or not” style format, where fame and fortune are the major prize.
ProOnGo a mobile expense reporting tool.
Thinklinkr a real-time, collaborative outlining tool.
TweetVisor is a Web-based Twitter dashboard.
Northwestern University’s InfoLab has also produced a trio of new products which include:
StatsMonkey, a system that automatically generates baseball stories off of numerical data.
Manatee Comics, a system that automatically generates web comics.
News at Seven, a system that automatically generates a broadcast news show.
Additionally, we would like to give a big thank you to our 9 great sponsors. Eric and I were first introduced to Going.com at our first TECH cocktail Boston event back in 2007. We are excited to have Going as a sponsor as they were recently acquired by AOL. Helping to fund start-ups down in Indianapolis, Sproutbox is helping to fund people’s dreams. TransFS looks to help start-ups and small businesses find the best deals on financial services. Shiny Heart Ventures is cooking up some shiny, new, “good” experiences that remind us of the joys of life, so stay tuned as they soon will be launching some Web products. Saper Law works with creative entrepreneurs and innovative business organizations on all of their legal needs and has been a TECH cocktail support since back in 2006. Total Attorneys helps thousands of small law firms and solo practitioners with the business of practicing law. ChicagoMicro is also back for another round of TECH cocktail. Check out ChicagoMicro for all of your technology product and service needs. Zookie is a b2c start-up that will design and produce photo albums and ancillary photo products for brides and individuals who want to remember their family’s most important events. Finally, OVAL structured vodka will be serving special cocktails at the event.
