Social commerce has been on fire as daily deal sites have been helping to sell excess inventory for local businesses. LivingSocial along with Groupon have been leading the charge. We have been keeping our eye on both social commerce giants as they have both been valued at over a billion dollars. I got chance to sit down and talk with DC-based LivingSocial co-founder and CTO Aaron Batalion at South by Southwest as part of the Tech Cocktail Delivering Happiness at SXSW interview series.
Aaron shared that he envisions a future with concept called “feetsense” (not be confused with Google’s ad platform, Adsense) where merchants compete for consumer feet that walk through their door.
