Have you ever wanted to explore South America on a Motorcycle or the Amazon Rainforest by Kayak? Adventure travel has seemed out-of-reach for many, but a new platform promises affordability and an experience that provides the perspective of a local.

This adventure travel platform is called Advlo, “a peer-to-peer adventure travel marketplace where travelers can find & request, or locals can host and sell unique adventure activities,” according to their site. The activities listed above are just two of the many bookable, unique adventures on Advlo.

On August 31st, Advlo launched their adventure platform. Advlo offers users adventures in hot spots such as Ecuador, Colorado, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

“Our team is starting to focus on certain high-growth travel regions throughout Latin America and helping people connect to the unique adventures and locals that exist there,” says Jon Maser, the CEO of Advlo.

When we interviewed Maser a few months ago, the Advlo team was launching its own crowd-funding campaign and they’ve made immense progress since June.

Maser also says that the platform is constantly being improved by taking user feedback into account as Advlo continues to add features to their platform. Two upcoming features include:

•Customize and Book an Adventure: This feature allows the host and traveler to make changes to a specific or new adventure. “This will help travelers customize their adventure tailored exactly from a dialogue they can have prior to booking with the host,” says Maser.
•Ambassador Program: The team is experimenting with people who are currently traveling around the world to create an ambassador program. “We aren’t releasing any specific details yet but we are excited about the future of our on-boarding process, and I think adventure travelers out on the road will be too,” says Maser.

Do you have a unique adventure? “Host” an adventure through Advlo’s platform and make money while connecting with like-minded travelers from around the world. Check out their Host Information page to learn more. If you can’t find the type of adventure you’re seeking, send in an Adventure Request and the Advlo team will search their networks for you.

“We’re so excited to be building a platform that will help adventurers around the world connect through a sustainable traveler network,” say Maser.
