A few days ago we visited Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the middle of the Tech Fiesta Albuquerque to host our Startup of the Year Competition and Mixer. In fact, we were a central part of the event, setting up our stage at Epicenter at Innovate ABQ.

We were planning on a full house of founders, thought leaders, and local community members, but we never imagined it to be so big (in the best way possible). All in all we had over 80 attendees and 11 different startups pitching the crowd. Not to mention, the city’s Economic Development Director Gary Oppedahl helped kick things off with a great keynote speech.

Albuquerque was actually the final stops on our Startup of the Year Tour as we make our way towards Downtown Las Vegas for our third annual Tech Cocktail Celebrate Conference. All of the winners from our local events will be there for our Startup of the Year Competition.
