A hub for all events that occur on or around the college campus, new startup NeverBoredU‘s aim is simple: cure student boredom at all costs. Never again will you miss that nationally-renowned speaker or the next flash rave at the library.
More often than not, students overlook all of the events and programs that take place at their school – especially those that are free. NeverBoredU is a one-stop shop for all the happenings on campus, from student sponsored concerts to keynote speakers. The site’s categories include music and art events, outdoor activities, and best of all, daily food and drink specials (heaven for a college student’s budget).
NeverBoredU also allows users to upload their own events. If you’re on a sports team that wants more fans at games, in a club that’s seeking more members, or advertising for your frat’s philanthropy event, simply put it up on the site.
Based out of College Park, NeverBoredU began with addressing the boredom of the University of Maryland’s student body. Given the campus’ proximity to D.C. and the school’s plethora of student clubs, Duncan Graham recognized the potential in a site that served students by aggregating all the events that happen nearly every night of the week.
Graham conceived and designed NeverBoredU during a bike trip across the continental US. He teamed up with Tim Tolino, and the rest is history: the NeverBoredU beta was used daily by 1,000 students at its peak. The site currently includes Ohio State University and St. Mary’s College, along with UMD.
