Less than a month ago, Kiip announced a major partnership with Yahoo! Japan to integrate the T-Point into their service. Today, Brian Wong announced another major win for his company just ahead of their three-year anniversary. American Express Ventures has decided to invest an unspecified amount in Kiip, joining the roster of big-name investors already on board, like Verizon and IPG.

Kiip was designed as a way for brands to connect directly with consumers through mobile rewards and contests. The investment by American Express Ventures, captained by Harshul Sanghi, will ensure that the already-strong rewards ecosystem is made even better.

“Every once in a while you come across partnerships and collaboration opportunities that just make sense,” says Wong. “We have had a history of pushing amazing results.”

Wong and the rest of the team at Kiip are working to expand into more verticals and go beyond just gaming, media, and advertising. By becoming even more integrated into people’s lives, they are hoping to evolve into a company that has the potential to build value into every moment of a user’s experience.
