Last June, a small group of organizers in the Washington, D.C. area, produced a ten day festival focused on creativity and technology called Digital Capital Week (DCWEEK). As one of the co-producers, I was amazed at the turnout – over 6,000 people participated in some fashion, and the positive echoes online across the social net seemed to emphasize the need for more.

The producers are thrilled to announce that this year DCWEEK 2011 will take place in November, from 11/4/11 – 11/11/11.

DCWEEK 2011 is a festival in the US capital focused on bringing together designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and social innovators of all kinds. It’s a series of 100’s of distributed events powered by the community and complemented by core conferences, parties, and projects created by the festival organizers iStrategyLabs and Tech Cocktail. DCWEEK 2010 was assembled in 3.5 months and drew 6,000 attendees from around the world. This year we’re expecting 10,000+ attendees.

Registration is now open, and is free for the first 2000 attendees: http://dcweek11.eventbrite.com
