Augmented Reality Mobile App, Blippar, Meets Budweiser Racing

Blippar – the image recognition, augmented reality mobile app – is giving a whole new meaning to the term beer goggles.

Budweiser Racing recently announced a partnership with London-based Blippar in conjunction with their US launch.  During the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Blippar users can enjoy exclusive behind the scenes content from Budweiser Racing and Kevin Harvick simply by opening the app and pointing your phone’s camera at any Budweiser logo.  You can take your picture with NASCAR’s number one #29 car driver, see Kevin prank @mother_function (shutchyo mouth), and watch through Harvick’s helmet cam as he drives well over the speed limit.

For the few of us who don’t happen to have a Bud in hand, you can test out the app on the image below.  First download the free app (on either iPhoneiPad, or Android), open up Blippar, and point at the Budweiser logo.  Lastly, carefully regain your footing after having your world rocked.
