Since 2008, we have watched AwayFind grow up in front of our eyes from just a project to a full fledged funded startup. The company has been a featured startup at our earliest Washington, D.C. Tech Cocktail mixer events and then more recently at our west coast event as they relocated to San Francisco this past September. We were excited to hear the news from Founder and CEO Jared Goralnick that he would be making some announcements on stage at LeWeb in Paris, France this week. One of the biggest announcements is the launch of AwayFind’s iPhone application. The application was developed based on requests of its users, so we are sure it will be a welcome addition.

If you unfamiliar with AwayFind, it offers a messaging system for your email inbox thus making it possible for you to escape the constant grind of checking email. The iPhone application offers the following:

  • When you get an urgent email, it’ll send you a push notification
  • No need to visit your email account to read the rest of the urgent message – it is available with one click in AwayFind
  • You can quickly scan through just your urgent messages in your AwayFind Inbox

The iPhone application is accepting new registrations on the fly or you can plug in your current AwayFind credentials and jump right into setting it up.
