We’ve reached that time of year again. The time of year when parents and students spend an obscene amount of money in the name of education. Everyone wants the best gadgets that will make make the actual learning and degree earning process as painless as possible. These days that means things like portable chargers, educational headphones, learning apps, or simply fun devices to make the other kids jealous.

Here’s a list of some high tech back to school gadgets for students of every age.

Kidz Gear Deluxe Stereo Headset Headphones

Here’s a learning tool for the young students in your life: the newest version of the award winning Kidz Gear headphones. They now feature a boom mic that pics up omnidirectional sound–perfect for learning foreign languages, audio/verbal test taking, music study, or video creation. Newertech Energy Efficient Nugreen LED Desk Lamp

The Nugreen LED Desk Lamp is a super efficient and modern looking desk lamp that provides light similar to daylight but with no heat. It features 50 energy efficient LEDs and a flexible “gooseneck” that makes it very adjustable. This lamp is both cost and energy efficient. The LEDs use only 3.6 watts of total power and last up to 45,000 use hours (up to 22 times longer than tradition bulbs). They are also completely recyclable since there is no mercury.

Tudia Klip

Personally, I put this in the “genius” category.  You know the little end of your phone charger cable that gets frayed after months (or sometimes only weeks) of twisting and bending? Well, Tudia has developed a tiny little, two piece, silicone and polycarbonate clip that snaps onto any Apple lightning or 30-piece charging cables. By reducing the strain on these cables by 80% the clip helps extend the life of these expensive, but necessary parts.

Khan Academy Learning App

Khan Academy is a powerful free app that helps kids prepare for standardized tests such as the SATs and ACTs. Test prep is their main goal, but the app offers a lot more than that. Students from K-12 can use it to study up on a variety of subjects–from computer programming to art history. They also offer test prep for the MCAT and GMAT. Unlike other test prep programs which can cost thousands of dollars, Khan Academy promises to remain free for everyone forever.

There are hundreds more. Tell us in the comments so we can feature more gadgets in the future!
