Studies have shown that children who eat regular family meals tend to have lower rates of obesity and eat more nutritiously. By eating in an family friendly environment, “their meals tended to have a warmer, more communicative atmosphere.”

But any parent (and restaurant server) can tell you that eating at the table with young children requires extra cleanup. Especially if they are in the throwing food and anything they can get a hold of phase. A Denver-based startup, Bambinos!, wants to make family meals easy with their Bambinos trays.

The Tidy Table Tray and the Lock-on Table Tray from Bambinos make family meals with young children a whole lot easier for parents, while giving little ones their own “place” at the family table.

Launched in 2012,  the idea came from a personal experience: “We wanted to bring my one year old to the family table to eat with us,” explains co-founder Megan Streit Wilson.

The Lock-on Table Tray is the first tray system that locks to tables in seconds and features interactive locations for plates, bowls, cups, spoons and forks. It is designed for mess-free eating with babies, toddlers and preschoolers at home or on the road. Bambinos trays save parents precious time that they can now spend with their family.
