Find a New Watering Hole with Bar Scene-Rating Mobile App, Liquid Fare

Going out this weekend, the last big holiday weekend of the summer?  Liquid Fare, a New York-based mobile app development company, just launched its eponymous flagship app, Liquid Fare. The free app, available for the iPhone and Android, allows you to rate local bars, lounges and clubs.

The app relies on crowdsourced information to make it much easier to find a spot to hang out, surrounded by the type of crowd you like.  This is especially useful if you’re visiting a city for the first time, or just want to find a new place to meet friends.

The app’s innovative features allow you to submit or review ratings of hotspots based on age group (college, 20s, 30s, etc.), style (preppy, hipster, etc.), and attractiveness (by gender, on a scale of one to five).  You can share submitted ratings instantly via Facebook.

When you’re getting ready to go out tonight, you can search for bars in a specific neighborhood or area and see where bars rank in their city based on their score.  Give it a whirl and let us know what you think of the app; you can leave a comment below.
