Five Startups Named “Best of SPROCKIT” at NAB Show

After participating in demo booths and two days of pitches at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, five media and entertainment startups were given the first annual “Best of SPROCKIT Award.” These five winners were voted on by the attendees from among the 30 startups chosen to participate in this year’s Sprockit program.

Harry Glazer, founder and CEO of the Sprockit program, said this about the Sprockit startups selected to participate: “Each of these companies has a unique solution to some of the industry’s most difficult questions – some provide ways to reinvent content on mobile, whereas others focus on television engagement and analytics – but all aim to leverage innovation to further media and entertainment as a whole.”

The five winning startups were:

Fluendo Fluendo is a company out of Barcelona that specializes in enabling multimedia on numerous devices, operating systems, and platforms. The company created the GStreamer device, a free and open source, offering powerful and professional tools to empower high-quality and legal multimedia on a wide variety of software and hardware. In a statement, CEO Muriel Moscardini shared: “As a growing company introducing our new products, LongoMatch and Tagtics, along with our existing ONEPLAY multimedia suite, it is terrific to get positive feedback and validation from our industry peers.”

Psychability From Boston, MA, Psychability provides big data analytics for cross-media audience matching and data monetization for advertisers, agencies, content providers, and video service providers. It is the industry’s first independent data management platform. Psychability’s mission is to make the practice of “data driven” pervasive in all aspects of TV. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have been selected for the award, especially since the judges were the NAB attendees themselves,” said Psychability CEO Pankaj Shroff. “We think our product can deliver superior analytics to broadcasters and voters at the show have obviously recognized our potential, too.”

ScoreStream ScoreStream is a mobile solution to collect fan-driven, real-time scoring, photo and highlight sharing, and game scheduling for High School football and youth sporting events.

Unruly Unruly is the leading programmatic platform for social video advertising. UnrulyX is the first supply-side platform (SSP) for mobile video to offer scaled delivery of native ad formats and guarantee the viewability of premium video impressions bought via RTB.

Yottio Yottio offers professional & creative services that provides everything you need to capture, moderate, and live stream viewers or remote participants into your creative format. According to their press release, Yottio was selected by SPROCKIT and NAB Show to participate in SPROCKIT’s 2015 program as an emerging company based on “their potential to disrupt the market and offer real solutions to challenges in today’s evolving market that many established media and entertainment companies face.”
