Betaspring Launches Summer Class of 11 Startups From Rhode Island

Last week, Providence, Rhode Island-based startup incubator Betaspring hosted it’s demo day festivities and launched eleven startups. Betaspring is a mentorship-driven startup accelerator program for technology and design entrepreneurs who are ready to build a product, launch a company, and change the world. Betaspring was ranked thirteenth in our U.S. Accelerator rankings.

This year the following 11 startups launched Thursday at Demo Day:

Building Layer is mapping the indoor world, creating intuitive mapping and wayfinding solutions for indoor spaces.

Fitted Fashion is a custom clothing platform delivered through digital tailoring technology.

Gorb is bringing skill-based wagers to mobile gaming.

InHabi matches landlords with pre-qualified renters, standing the traditional rental listing model on it’s head.

MoSec is a speech-to-text tool for mobile professionals that integrates directly with their existing customer relationship management tools. They participated in our summer mixer event in Boston and we covered them previously here.

Nest4Less offers a platform to help realtors, homeowners and service providers create ongoing and value-added relationships throughout the home ownership lifecycle.

Revenizer provides easy-to-use marketing scorecards that deliver vital, at-a-glance info to help businesses grow.

StudyEgg increases learning performance for college students with short activities via smartphone.

TouchBase is pioneering a simple, but compelling way, for keeping tweens and teens in touch with their parents over a private mobile network.

Translate Abroad: Translate Abroad helps students and travelers get real-world practical translation of Chinese text to English on their smart phone.

Zoko has channeled their passion for sharing meals into a platform that enables dinner groups to form, plan, and grow dinner parties.

As the summer wraps up it will be exciting to watch these startups as they continue to grow and evolve. We’ll be keeping our eyes on them.
