Butterfly in the sky, #amirite? As a child of the 90s, I grew up on Reading Rainbow, and got super excited when Levar Burton launched his Kickstarter campaign to raise $1 million to develop brand new Reading Rainbow programming across multiple platforms to adapt to modern standards.

In its first day alone, the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter campaign managed to raise its initial $1 million goal. With 50 hours left, the campaign has now raised over $4.5 million dollars in funding from more than 91,000 backers – the most number of backers ever for any campaign on the platform. Today is a special day for all book nerds – huzzah!
