Earlier this month, Silent Circle introduced a new version of the pro-privacy smartphonewhich prevents hacking or leakage of personal data. The Blackphone 2 and its first tablet, currently dubbed Blackphone+, is said to be a step towards creating more secure devices.

We keep a lot of personal information on our smartphones because of the amount of apps we use. Now that security and privacy concerns are more prevalent amongst consumers, more people are looking to enjoy the latest gadgets without compromising their privacy. As reported by International Business Times, Silent Circle explained privacy as what is exposed when security measures fail and software or devices are compromised.

“It’s about what privacy enables as opposed to what you need to lock down and protect,” said Silent Circle Chief Marketing Officer Rob Smith in this article.

From business to personal information, anything can be compromised.

So how does the Blackphone compare to other devices? For starters, its privacy-focused software includes advanced administrator controls that allow users to lock or wipe devices for the sake of protecting data.
