September is always a blur in the tech industry as there are a number of events and festivities to attend. One of the events that took place last month was midVentures LAUNCH, a tech conference in the Midwest in late September hosted by the midVentures team of Jonathan Pasky, Geoff Domoracki, and Brian Mayer. They pulled together some great speakers and startups for a two day conference in Chicago. One of the speakers was Brad Keywell, the co-founder of GroupOn and Lightbank. In his keynote address, Brad shares his take on the entrepreneurial environment in the Midwest, offers insights on starting up and his experiences with Groupon and other entrepreneurial ventures.

We got a chance to see Brad speak earlier this summer at the Angel Excelerator event we covered previously, but we were happy to see him speaking again and wanted to share this keynote address.
