The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics will be airing on TVs across the world until February 23, and BuddyTV is providing its users with a customized, efficient way to find and watch the different athletic events. And on February 6, BuddyTV officially launched their newest Vibe, a customized TV guide, to take the pain out of finding the Olympic events.
The Olympics Vibe can be accessed through the app home screen and will provide a complete list of events for the 2014 Sochi Olympics. From there users can view all of the times and channels hosting the different athletic events and curate their own lists based on personal preferences.
Should users only be interested in specific Winter Olympic sports like ice hockey, the decathlon, and curling, they can pin the different events to a custom-made Vibe. And since BuddyTV is intensely social, users can share their Vibes across friend, family, and colleague groups so nobody misses the fun.
“This Vibe allows you to easily scroll through every event taking place over the next few weeks and keep track of your favorite Winter Games. From there, you have access to every event you could ever want to watch,” says Andy Liu, CEO and co-founder of BuddyTV.
BuddyTV has made it their mission to help users discover must-see TV, and the Olympics is no exception. The team wants to eliminate the headache of having to dig through five different channels airing events while you’re at work, on prime time, or while you’re sleeping; don’t miss your favorite Winter Games event because they’re not coming back for four more years.
