Indeed has released its “Best Jobs of 2017” list, opening a window into the coveted selection of career paths that are both high-paying and have an increasing demand. And, just as Indeed’s SVP of Product, Raj Mukherjee, predicted in my previous interview with him, tech jobs dominate the list.

The Positions

The job search site compiled this list by checking jobs with salaries of at least $70,000 against those with a steady increase in job postings between the years of 2013 and 2016. Here’s what they found, ranked from the absolute best downward: full stack developers hit number one, followed by data scientists in second place and development operations engineers at third.

“Software engineers and other technical roles continue to dominate many of the top positions for employer demand and competitive pay,” said Paul D’Arcy, the Senior Vice President at Indeed in an accompanying blog post. “But there are certainly opportunities in other sectors, with roles in management, engineering and healthcare in high demand.”
