Chicago-based startup Cerrio, which was co -founded by a former derivatives trader and software developer for the trading industry, is demoing 2 products for developers at Tech Cocktail’s event at Chicago Ideas Week Sunday night:

x-stream.ly is a fast, secure, and scalable service that lets web developers add real-time interactivity to their apps.  No server coding required, plus it is a hosted, managed solution run in the cloud that offers additional access control, lower latency, and better persistence at a great price – only $19/month.

Cerrio is a visual, real-time platform that simplifies the process of building real-time software for the web and greatly reduces the investment of time and money required to build and maintain the software.  Developers that use Cerrio don’t have to worry about infrastructure, the technology stack, messaging, or scaling to handle latency or throughput.

Co-founder and COO Rich Bojanowski, the aforementioned trader, was original founder of OptionsHouse, an online broker-dealer, and he built and managed PEAK6’s back-office and business intelligence divisions.  Co-founder and CTO Ben Blair, the developer, spent the last 12 years of his career building real-time software for the trading industry.  He has been working on the Cerrio platform since 2003 and has been the CTO of BBR Trading since 2002.

You can meet the team and learn more about these 2 great products at Tech Cocktail’s Chicago Ideas Week event.
