At Innovate! and Celebrate, attendees will be introduced to a wide range of tech conference staples. From panel discussions about startup funding to fireside chats with tech titans, there will be more than enough information flying around for everyone to get their fix. However, the key to a good tech conference isn’t just information, it’s fun! That’s why Tech.Co and our partner Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is having the Startup of the Year party in San Jose.

What can you expect to find at this lavish party? Well, you’ll just have to keep reading to find out!

Startup of the Year Competitors

While the party is more than exciting enough to get you out of your seat, the main event will be earlier that day, when the 50 semifinalist startups take each other on in the 4th annual Startup of the Year competition. They’ll be vying for prizes like spots in top accelerators and cash rewards so there will be more than enough excitement to go around. The party will be your chance to meet with them before the finalists are announced.

Important Investors

That’s right, the Startup of the Year party isn’t just a chance to unwind during the conference. This extravaganza is a networking opportunity like you’ve never seen. Some of the industries top investors will be interested in finding their next venture, and it could be you!

“Our Startup of the Year Competition is an incredible opportunity for the top 50 semifinal startups from around the world to get noticed by top accelerator programs, investors and industry leaders,” said Jen Consalvo, COO and cofounder of Tech.Co.

A Photo Booth

In all the excitement of the conference, it’s understandable if you forgot to take a couple pictures. After all, you don’t want Naveen Jain or Jeff Clavier to catch you snapping a few photos in the middle of their riveting discussions. Fortunately for you, the Startup of the Year party will be well equipped with a photo booth to capture all your excitement. From silly faces to mean mugs, you’ll be able to remember the trip fondly with four tiny pictures that will look great on your fridge.

Swanky Accommodations

The Startup of the Year party is being held at Glasshouse, a trendy Silicon Valley venue in the heart of downtown San Jose. You’ll enjoy appetizers that make your taste buds sing and libations that will making networking with tech mavericks, startup wizards, and curious investors that much easier. You’ll be treated to lounges, dining areas and an outdoor patio, all with a modern flair that will remind you of the innovative area the conference will be held in. Oh right, and the entire venue is surrounded in glass from floor to ceiling.

A Llama

If you’ve been to a Celebrate conference in the past, you know that llamas are expected to make an appearance. This year is no different, as the Glasshouse has graciously allowed us to bring a llama to the party. You’ll be able to pet this beautiful creature and take a llama selfie. And remember, camels are the ones that spit, not llamas.
