Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist stopped by Wynwood this Thursday to visit The LAB Miami, where he announced that Miami-Dade’s Democratic Party, Annette Taddeo-Goldstein, will be his running mate in the next state election. Crist and Taddeo-Goldstein had the opportunity to tour the co-working space, where he met tech startups founders and hear about programs like Wyncode and Wynwood Maker Camp.
Crist announced Taddeo-Goldstein as his running mate, calling the well-liked local party chair “a remarkable woman and a classic American success story.”
LAB’s co-founder Wifredo Fernandez gave Crist and Taddeo-Goldstein a personal tour of the space.
Crist gets a personal presentation from the students from the Wynwood Maker Camp. The camp, ongoing throughout the summer, encourages youth to be innovative thinkers by exposing them to cutting-edge technology.
Crist also visited Wyncode’s classroom, where he met some of the students. Maybe he will sign-up to the coding bootcamp?
