Do These Charts Accurately Rank Thanksgiving Sides?

What do you get when you mix Thanksgiving with a bunch of startup people? Charts. That’s what. Okay, well, at least that’s what I thought of when I saw some recent charts published by Vox (because, you know…startups like data…or something). In an article titled “A definitive ranking of Thanksgiving sides”, Vox created a bunch of charts that aimed to rank various traditional Thanksgiving sides. To determine popularity, they plotted sides per certain factors, including: taste over time, availability over time, how much effort it took to make the dish vs. how they tasted, and whether a certain dish has leftovers.

While I do enjoy a good graph or chart, there seems to be a lot of anti-sweet potato sentiment throughout Vox’s rankings. Take a look at some of the charts and see if you agree.
