In mid-January Complete launched their flagship iOS app with some help from Hollywood stars Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum. It was a big launch for the team, and it was instrumental in building towards their inevitable web platform launch which they announced on May 28.
Further, this launch comes hot on the heels of Complete’s 2.0 release and a $1 million funding round led by Structure Capital and Red Eagle Ventures. The funds have been used to expand the development team and optimize the UX on the platform.
“When Xander first approached me with the idea behind Complete, we quickly realized the potential for an intentions based network that encourages task completion by leveraging social connections,” says investor Dave Pezeshki, of Startline Ventures. “It was a deal we had to do.”
Xander Schultz, founder of Complete, also notes that the web app accomplishes two more goals for Complete. On one hand it gives Android users access to the services while on the other it makes long form composition easier for those providing in depth advice.
“This is a huge step for us” says Schultz. “Unlike other social products, your tasks and goals are as relevant at work as they are at play, so it was important for Complete to be available to people at all times. The fact that people receive advice and support on their tasks only compounded the importance of Complete’s presence on multiple platforms.”
