Believe it or not, but your constant texting and checking your Instagram is ruining your posture. A new study published by the Surgical Technology International found that people spend an average of two to four hours a day with their heads tilted over reading and texting on their smart phones and devices. Looking down at your texts is equivalent of placing a 60 pound weight on your neck.
This can lead to more serious problems in the future, from severe headaches to making you constipated.
Maybe it’s time to put your phone down, and look up. Make it a habit of checking your emails in your computers only, and maybe the Facebook scrolling can be limited to once a day. Easier said than done, but worth a try.
