The Coolbox Indiegogo page went live at 11:59 pm EST on January 26, and they’re already fully funded. Actually, they’re beyond funded and have hit $89,373 blowing by their $50,000 goal; there’s still 44 days left for them to accrue even more funding.
Coolbox cofounder Mike D’Agostini has in effect brought the old school toolbox out of our garages and into the modern age. Historically the toolbox has been mainly for tool storage and didn’t have much innovative thought when it came to design.
But D’Agostini has shifted the priority to create a full-suit solution to building, fixing, and creative project needs. You can now power your tools, recharge your devices, play music, and crack open a cold one when you’re finished.
“We’ve recently seen great success in bringing utility items into the 21st century,” says D’Agostini. “The Coolbox takes something that’s purely functional – your traditional toolbox – and combines it with value-added features that power not only your tools, but your inspiration to build, create, and fix.”
The list of features is huge, but here are some of the hottest ones:
- Bluetooth speaker system
- A removable 20” x 12” Whiteboard
- 2 USB ports for device charging
- An internal, 20v rechargeable battery with a 2 day lifetime
