CounterCrop Hits Kickstarter Funding Goal in Only One Week

About one week ago I wrote a quick post about a local San Diego company, CounterCrop, and how they had blasted through 25 percent of their funding goal on Kickstarter campaign on day one. I had a gut feeling that this would be one of those campaigns that doesn’t slow down as the funding keeps pouring in, and in total founder Jack Abbott was looking to raise $75,000.

And then, as if on cue, I got a note from Abbott saying that they had hit 100 percent funding with 37 days left on the campaign clock. At the time of this writing CounterCrop has amassed $77,700 in total, and this will guarantee that they can start ramping up production to ship the CounterCrop units to all of their backers. It’s also an impressive timeline for funding, as it only took them one week to hit their 100 percent goal.

For all of you who think you may have missed an opportunity to get one of the smart, self-contained indoor home gardens at a reduced rate, fear not. The super early bird specials have all filled up, but CounterCrop still has plenty of backer levels that will get one of their units into your hands for below retail cost. And even though they’ve hit the $75,000, they still have stretch goals of $200k, $400k, $600k, and $800k that will offer unique incentive bonuses to all their backers.

Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming feature story on CounterCrop.
