If you don’t have the time or budget to produce short videos to share online, check out Screenr, a free web-based screen recorder that allows you to create and share screencasts.   You can use it to share tips and tricks, highlight new products and apps, build your brand, and position yourself as an expert.

Their service is really easy to use.  Move the recording screen to capture your Mac or PC’s screen, choose the microphone type, and click record.  It captures your screen and voice, and allows you to share the screencast on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or your own site or blog after it’s published.

No need to install or download anything, and the screencasts can be viewed everywhere, even on iPhones and iPads.  There are samples of screencasts on their site for you to check out, but it looks like a great alternative to video, especially if you are crunched on time.
