NewBrandAnalytics, a DC-based startup that provides social business intelligence solutions to help service-focused companies (hospitality, restaurant, and retail industries) improve customer relations, has reportedly raised $5 million in a new round of venture funding. News of the funding comes from a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 29.

Not much is known about the recent raise, but it’s been reported that six unnamed investors were involved. This recent round comes more than two years since the company raised $26 million in its Series B round back in November, 2011 led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) with Steve Case’s Revolution Ventures and Ted Leonsis participating.

Tech Cocktail has reached out to newBrandAnalytics and will provide updates as they occur.
