If you’ve been searching for an all-in-one cloud storage, sharing, syncing, and backup solution for your Apple products, then check out DollyDrive. This application’s backup feature allows users to schedule automatic backups to the cloud, and even create backups to a local drive.

The origins of DollyDrive harken back to the 1980s, when founder Anthony Palermo first became fascinated with computers, pre-Internet networks, and how to store data in centralized locations. Palermo went on to develop substantial expertise in solving issues of data accessibility and backup across computers, and worked for the likes of the U.S. Department of Defense, and Royal Caribbean International in South Florida. By the late 2000s, he began to work on a solution that allowed him to have remote access to data and the ability to save data without a wire. Shortly thereafter, DollyDrive was born in Miami.

Today DollyDrive offers services for individual and business Mac users on its own secure servers with 256-bit AES encryption. For businesses that want control over their data, DollyDrive offers cloud intelligence solutions that are applied to the business site. The company’s cloud service is also HIPAA-compliant, and in 2013, it became a preferred provider to HIPAA-compliant record companies.

Palermo says that his focus for DollyDrive in 2014 is scaling the service and entering the Windows market.
